Briar grabs a pair of top-10 finishes at Deep South and Southern

Taking part in the Memorial Day weekend special, Cheatham Racing invaded Deep South Speedway (Loxley, Ala.) on Saturday evening with both Briar and Jake competing in the second round of the Forever 51 Night.

Jake secured his spot into the opener via his qualifying effort while Briar jumped up one position in his heat to finish third. Briar lost two spots in the 15-lap feature to register an eighth-place finish while Jake moved forward early in the feature before exiting. Taking the green in 13th, Jake worked his way into the top-10 and was running eighth on lap 17 when he pulled off.

The following night only saw Briar competing at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) aboard his D&H Sand Inc. No. 87 CRUSA Street Stock. Earning the 11th-starting position for the A-Main via preliminary events, Cheatham advanced forward five spots to place sixth.
